We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at WATER TECH PLUMBING AND HEATING LTD.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, carry out mechanical tests and analyses, design tools and moulds, estimate costs and materials, and prepare engineering designs and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components, and materials to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Design and develop tools, moulds, and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects and prepare detailed reports.
  • Prepare and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare contracts and tenders for mechanical installation and construction projects.
  • Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure timely completion and quality standards.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 35 hours per week.
