About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Liverpool Pizzeria & Lounge. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
    • Ensure that all food and kitchen supplies are stored and handled in a clean and sanitary manner.
  • Staff Supervision and Training
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent performance.
  • Quality Control and Customer Service
    • Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory levels, sales, and customer feedback.
    • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands
    • Fast-paced environment with high pressure to meet customer demands.
    • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
