Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Professional to join our team at Atlantic Chican Seafood. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
- Maintain general ledgers and financial statements, providing a clear picture of our company's financial health.
- Post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring prompt collection of payments from customers.
- Education: College/CEGEP degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proficiency in Simply Accounting and MS Office.
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and strong time management skills.
- Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidentiality.
- Permanent full-time position with 35 hours per week.
