Bookkeeping Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Atlantic Chican Seafood. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including preparation of tax returns and other tax-related documents.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

• Education: College or CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Skills: Proficiency in Simply Accounting and MS Office, strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and excellent time management skills.

This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. The work language is English.
