Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Professional to join our team at Atlantic Chican Seafood. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgers.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
- Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and reconcile accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, including statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma in accounting or related field.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Skills: Proficient in Simply Accounting and MS Office, with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
