In-Plant Safety Specialist

The In-Plant Safety Specialist position is a critical role within PSSI, responsible for ensuring compliance with the company's safety procedures in the plant. This individual must possess a strong understanding of PSSI's safety policies and practices, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure PSSI operations comply with all company policies and procedures, as well as customer requirements.
- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures.
- Follow directives from Site Management, Area Management, Division Management, VP, and Technical Services regarding safety-related issues.
- Report all accidents and first aid incidents following established protocols.
- Establish annual goals and measure progress in safety awareness, training consistency, and safety performance metrics.
- Investigate severe injuries, OSHA complaints, and other safety-related incidents as needed.
- Perform weekly safety audits and provide corrective actions to operations.
- Identify and eliminate hazards in the workplace.
- Maintain regular communication with Site Manager and exercise independent judgment in disciplinary actions.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field or equivalent job experience.
