Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Stewardship Manager to join our team. This is a fixed-term, full-time appointment until March 2029.

The role involves managing the day-to-day activities of the Careers and Skills for Data-driven Research (CaSDaR) Network+, handling managerial tasks, and coordinating logistical and administrative tasks.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote data stewardship across the University.
  • Manage web presence, including website content and social media accounts.
  • Organise events, both physical and virtual, to engage with stakeholders and promote the Network's goals.
  • Coordinate membership and dissemination activities, including maintaining mailing lists and creating newsletters.
  • Manage resources, including video editing and research data management.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as creating meeting agendas and facilitating meetings.
  • Collaborate with research and legal departments to manage funding and contracts.

Requirements
  • You should have experience of data stewardship and research data management across at least one research domain.
  • You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills, and ideally experienced in event organisation.

About the Team

The project team is based across various schools within the University, including Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Humanities, the Library and the Research Software Group.
