Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in rural Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership and clinical expertise in a collaborative team setting.

About the Role

This position provides Speech Language Pathology services at the Cold Lake Community Health Services site and the Cold Lake Healthcare Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. They will participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical professional practice independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate
  • Use clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Certification in Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider from the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • One year experience in a rural setting is preferred
  • Experience with preschool populations and working in a multi-disciplinary team is preferred
  • Experience with dysphagia, pediatric eating, feeding, and swallowing, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, and voice and resonance are preferred
