About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Carpenter (General Repair Technician) to join our team at On Side Restoration. As a GRT, you will be responsible for rebuilding and restoring damaged personal property in response to disasters such as fires, floods, and crime scenes.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and restore wooden structures, including framing, drywalling, and painting
- Install ceilings, knockdown, and texture
- Install insulation and vapour barriers
- Install doors, trim, moldings, and baseboards
- Install hardware and cabinetry
- Take on rebuild claims and complete from start to finish
Requirements
- Experience working in construction environments
- Tools and skills to use them
- Strong people and communication skills
- Attention to detail and passion for quality
- Safety mindset
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a criminal record check
- Ability to communicate in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Skilled trades ticket (Carpenter, Painter, Cabinetmaker)
- IICRC certification (restoration focus)
- WHMIS
- First Aid
