We are a dynamic company looking for an experienced Senior Carpenter and Construction Supervisor to join our team. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Job Summary

The Senior Carpenter and Construction Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters and ensuring that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential construction, excellent communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints and understand building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Supervise and train a team of carpenters, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute construction projects from start to finish, including reading blueprints, scheduling tasks, and ordering materials.
  • Carpentry and Construction Work: Perform skilled carpentry and construction work, including measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure that all construction work meets quality standards, is safe, and complies with building codes and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in residential construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proven track record of successful project management, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to read blueprints and understand building codes, physical stamina to perform demanding manual labor, and ability to work at heights.
