Job Summary

The Senior Nursing Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nursing units, overseeing daily activities and supervising staff to provide high-quality patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned nursing professional to take on a leadership position and contribute to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordination and Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations of the nursing unit, coordinating work assignments and providing critical input on employee performance.
  • Patient Care Management: Monitor patient acuity and flow, making adjustments to staffing levels as needed to ensure optimal care.
  • Clinical Resource: Act as a clinical resource to nursing staff, students, and interdisciplinary team members, demonstrating procedures and answering questions related to clinical practice issues.
  • Rounds and Clinics: Participate in rounds and clinics, collaborating with nursing staff to assess patient problems and needs, plan and prioritize nursing interventions, and implement and evaluate outcomes.
  • Quality Improvement: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to identify areas for quality improvement, implementing processes and procedures as authorized by the Operations Leader.
Requirements:
  • Education: Registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant, plus three years of recent related experience in a clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to supervise, communicate effectively, apply decision-making and analytical skills, deal with others effectively, and prioritize work.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $98,000 - $112,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
