Job Title: Registered Massage Therapist

Homewood Health is seeking a skilled Registered Massage Therapist to join our team. As a Registered Massage Therapist, you will be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working closely with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, needs, and preferences to customize massage sessions.
  • Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, active release, and cranial sacral therapy.
  • Collaborate with physiotherapy, osteopathy, family physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate records and document treatment in patients' charts according to HHC policies and the clinical documentation standards of the CMTO.
  • Perform massage therapy on a variety of Homewood patients across all program areas, with dedicated hours in the Integrated Pain Service.
  • Perform massage therapy on Homewood clinical staff working onsite.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive clinic environment, promoting a culture of compassion, understanding, and empathy for patients living with mental health challenges and chronic pain.
Requirements:
  • Applicants must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
  • New graduates are welcome.
  • Experience treating patients with MSK injuries and chronic pain is an asset.
  • Interest in the intersection between massage therapy and mental health.
  • Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centric approach to care, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body connection in the treatment of pain.
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Registered provider with Veteran's Affairs and Green Shield is an asset.
  • Ability to direct bill for services through TELUS eClaims, Medavie Blue Cross, and providerConnect.
