This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of cancer care in the region and contribute to the development of innovative treatments and therapies.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Odette Cancer Program, a regional cancer program affiliated with Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and the University of Toronto, in providing complex, multi-disciplinary care for various cancers.
- Act as the Regional Vice President, coordinating cancer care across Ontario and executing the vision, mission, and goals of Ontario Health (Cancer Care Ontario) and Sunnybrook.
- Collaborate with the Sunnybrook Foundation to identify key philanthropic priorities and secure funding for the Odette Cancer Program.
- Develop and implement strategies to accelerate the growth of personalized oncology programs, including expansion of early phase clinical trials and development of cell-based therapies.
- Provide leadership and direction to a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Hold an MD degree and certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent qualifications).
- Be qualified to hold a clinical full-time academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor.
- Have a strong track record of leadership and experience working in diverse populations.
- Be a transformational leader with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre offers a competitive compensation package, including a combination of clinical earnings and administrative stipend, commensurate with academic rank, qualifications, and experience.
