We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Health Care Support Worker through our Heath Career Access Program.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, and home support, providing care and support to clients with complex needs.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to launch your career in healthcare while gaining hands-on experience and skills in a supportive environment. As a Health Care Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to provide high-quality care to clients, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • To provide direct care to clients, including personal care, medication management, and mobility assistance.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports as required.
  • To communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • To participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 10 or equivalent.
  • Valid BC Driver's License.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to deal with others effectively.
  • Able to organize work.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $24.80 per hour, paid bi-weekly. You will also receive comprehensive benefits, including medical and dental coverage, and access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP).
