About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our team at EA. As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging player experiences that meet our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with design and product owner leadership to help form the direction for game modes, ensuring that designs follow the product vision.
  • Design detailed progression systems & features and tune them for our specific goals.
  • Inspire and motivate the team to achieve high-quality results within the team's constraints.
  • Identify problems and opportunities and ideate to find interesting solutions.
  • Prepare and analyze research to understand market trends, player sentiments; and use that data to form a creative vision aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with Production Leads on prioritization of features and sub-features in project scope and development plan.
  • Partner with Peer Design Leadership on the Live Service team to ensure all new features and designs connect into relevant opportunities and insights.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Designer working with internal teams within the video game industry and creating top quality games.
  • Familiarity with player progression systems.
  • Experience mentoring & coaching other designers and providing insightful feedback on design efforts.
  • Experience in console/AAA game development.
  • Proactive and able to own design areas from initial creation through to implementation.
  • Understanding of how to design player experiences that support strategic business objectives.
  • Versed in understanding game analytics and their value within crafting designs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
