About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our team at EA. As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for crafting engaging player experiences that meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with design and product owner leadership to help form the direction for game modes, ensuring that designs follow the product vision.
- Design detailed progression systems & features and tune them for our specific goals.
- Inspire and motivate the team to achieve high-quality results within the team's constraints.
- Identify problems and opportunities and ideate to find interesting solutions.
- Prepare and analyze research to understand market trends, player sentiments; and use that data to form a creative vision aligned with business objectives.
- Partner with Production Leads on prioritization of features and sub-features in project scope and development plan.
- Partner with Peer Design Leadership on the Live Service team to ensure all new features and designs connect into relevant opportunities and insights.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Designer working with internal teams within the video game industry and creating top quality games.
- Familiarity with player progression systems.
- Experience mentoring & coaching other designers and providing insightful feedback on design efforts.
- Experience in console/AAA game development.
- Proactive and able to own design areas from initial creation through to implementation.
- Understanding of how to design player experiences that support strategic business objectives.
- Versed in understanding game analytics and their value within crafting designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
