Mobile Equipment Technician

We're seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Technician to join our team at Tolko Industries.

As a Mobile Equipment Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our mobile equipment, which is crucial to the success of our forestry operations in the Southern Interior of British Columbia.

Key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting, analyzing, diagnosing, lubricating, and performing routine maintenance tasks on various types of mobile equipment;
• Tackling equipment issues before they arise through preventative and predictive maintenance;
• Ensuring safe working conditions by operating hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during repairs;
• Inspecting and examining equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A valid Interprovincial ticket or eligibility to challenge the trades exam within six months from hire date;
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics, as well as consistently follow work processes and procedures;
• Knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvement and cost savings;
• Strong communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
