Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Tolko Industries. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our mobile equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of mobile equipment, including trucks, excavators, and cranes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance to prevent equipment failures and extend its lifespan.
- Inspect and examine equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during repairs.
- Valid Interprovincial ticket or eligibility to challenge the trades exam within six months from hire date.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics, and follow work processes and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and with a team.
