Job Description

The Role:

As a Management Trainee, you will embark on a comprehensive 5-phase program designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in various aspects of our business. You will gain hands-on experience in shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management, employee development, and more. You will have the opportunity to build a sales territory and provide exceptional customer service, while receiving guidance and support from experienced managers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Progress through a structured 5-phase program, gaining expertise in various business areas
  • Develop and manage a sales territory, providing world-class customer service
  • Collaborate with colleagues and managers to achieve business objectives
  • Participate in employee development and training initiatives
  • Contribute to the growth and success of EMCO Corporation

Program Outline:

Phase 1: Warehouse Logistics (6 months) - Gain a deep understanding of our operations, from vendor to customer

Phase 2: Counter Sales (6-8 months) - Master customer service, order management, and financial controls

Phase 3: Inside Sales (6-8 months) - Develop skills in project management, reading blueprints, and creating material lists

Phase 4: Outside Sales/Account Management (6-8 months) - Unleash your potential in finding business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and building lasting relationships

Phase 5: Supervisor (3 months) - Lead with strategic vision, mentor others, and take charge of your Profit Center

Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma in any discipline
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Desire to continuously learn and grow
  • Excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team setting
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Strong interest in sales
  • Valid driver's license
