At Scotiabank, we're looking for a talented Data Analytics Engineering Lead to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry leaders and contribute to the development of cutting-edge data analytics solutions.

About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned technical expert with a passion for data engineering and analytics. As a Data Analytics Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improvement.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain large-scale data systems, leveraging expertise in data modeling, database design, and data visualization. Your strong analytical skills and experience with Agile methodologies will enable you to deliver high-quality solutions on time.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from designing and implementing data pipelines to developing predictive models and visualizing insights. You'll also collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs.

About You
  • A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in data engineering and analytics, including data modeling, database design, and data visualization.
  • Proven experience with Agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, R, or VBA, and experience with Object-Oriented programming/scripting languages.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as MS Power BI, Tableau, or D3.js.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Competitive salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and employee assistance program.
