Job Title: Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Public Health Nurse will provide nursing care and support to individuals and communities in the province, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, and health education.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care and support to individuals and communities in the province.
  • Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention programs.
  • Conduct health assessments and provide health education to individuals and communities.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in public health or community nursing.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Work Setting:

The Public Health Nurse will work in a hospital/medical facility or clinic, or a public or community health centre.
