Job Title: Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Public Health Nurse will work in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting, providing education and support to patients and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health/community nursing and be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on health promotion, emergency health care planning, and other related topics.
  • Work in collaboration with healthcare teams to develop and implement health promotion programs.
  • Conduct health assessments and provide guidance on health-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to promote health and wellness.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in public health/community nursing.
  • Strong background in health promotion, emergency health care planning, and other related topics.
