Mortise Construction Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment on various construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, and bulldozers
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition
  • Prepare accident reports and secure special attachments to equipment
  • Perform minor repairs to equipment and read blueprints, maps, and specifications

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train on the job
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
  • Permanent position
  • Travel expenses paid by employer

Work Environment:

  • On the road job
  • Various locations
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
