SMS Equipment Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. This role involves performing assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete overhauls on heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing assemblies, preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete overhauls on heavy equipment.
  • Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized testing equipment.
  • Interpreting work orders and technical manuals.
  • Completing job-specific reports and paperwork.
  • Maintaining a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.

Qualifications:

  • A Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification.
  • Experience in repair/maintenance of heavy equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid Class 5/G driver's license.

This position requires the ability to work at customer sites and may involve traveling.
