Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanics Supervisor

KBS Heavy Duty Mechanics Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanics Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of mechanics and ensuring the efficient operation of our heavy equipment fleet. This is a key role that requires strong leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of mechanics to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to mechanics to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies and materials are available.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and supervision.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering, heavy equipment technology).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
