Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our Scotia iTRADE Contact Centre team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, answering their inquiries, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized service to clients, responding to their inquiries and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Use discretion and problem-solving skills to own the client experience, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Facilitate a culture of passion, accountability, and collaboration by being an active member of your team.
  • Assist with client inquiries, providing information and guidance on investment products and procedures.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple client interactions and priorities simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English and one of the following languages: Cantonese or Mandarin.
  • Broad knowledge of investment products and procedures relating to securities settlement.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with volumes dictated by market trends, client demands, and seasonal peaks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize time-management and prioritization skills.
  • Positive attitude and excitement regarding learning new tasks and skills in order to keep up with changing environments/duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed the Canadian Securities (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH).
  • Completed a post-secondary education in Commerce/Business, or Financial Planning.
  • Prior work experience in a brokerage or Contact Centre.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry.

Training and Development

We value employee training and development. We provide comprehensive training for all successful candidates, including a 4-week onboarding training and an additional 7-week training for those who require support to complete their licensing courses.

Work Hours

The Scotia iTRADE Contact Centre is open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of a contact centre environment, flexibility to work evening shifts is required.
