Clinical Education Manager

Overview
Ornge seeks an experienced Clinical Education Manager to lead the development and implementation of education initiatives and strategy for Paramedic/Clinician and related corporate education programs. The successful candidate will provide vision and leadership to the overall direction of clinician education and development, aligning with organizational strategic propellers and processes to achieve the best possible patient outcomes in transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement education initiatives and strategy for Paramedic/Clinician and related corporate education programs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic propellers and processes.
- Provide vision and leadership to the overall direction of clinician education and development, working closely with the Director, Clinical Affairs, and Associate Medical Officer(s).
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, development, implementation, and financial oversight of all clinician initial education programs, and simulation program, including training equipment, at Ornge.
- Collaborate with the Manager, Program Design and Evaluation, and Faculty Educator team to develop systems to monitor student performance and provide data-driven insights to influence behaviours and outcomes.
- Lead the Simulation Program within Clinical Education, including management of simulation facilities, financial responsibilities, preventative maintenance, and asset management of simulation equipment.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) training program or related Acute Regulated Healthcare Professional training, with a minimum of five years of independent practice in a related healthcare field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and significant experience in the design, development, and delivery of related education programs, utilizing various delivery tools or environments, maintaining industry best practices.
- Master's degree in a related field, with experience in formal project management, leadership, and mentorship.
- 5 years' experience in a supervisory/management position within health professional fields, with significant experience in mentorship and team building.
