Security System Technician Job Description

Arctic Alarm is seeking a detail-oriented Security System Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, programming, and maintaining various security systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install and program security systems, ensuring proper functionality and compliance with company standards.
  2. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on security equipment, utilizing technical knowledge and standard test instruments.
  3. Operate security systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, and analyze performance.
  4. Collaborate with supervisors to resolve unusual problems and improve system operation, maintenance, and warranty work.
  5. Provide customer training and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in electronics or a related field an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
