We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Island Health. As a Community Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting overall health and well-being.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.

You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment goals, and implementing evidence-based interventions to improve their physical function and mobility. Your expertise will also be valuable in educating patients and their families about healthy habits and disease prevention.

We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist who possesses excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • A degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized university program
  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC)
  • Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA)
  • Two years' post-graduate experience in physiotherapy, with a preference for community experience
  • A valid BC Driver's License

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
