Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Preventionist to join our team at FedEx Supply Chain. As a Preventionist, you will play a critical role in supporting managers and workers in the workplace to identify, correct, and control environmental risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Develop and implement prevention programs to mitigate risks and improve workplace safety.
- Coach and support supervisors in incident/accident investigations and corrective measures.
- Verify compliance with occupational health and safety rules and procedures.
- Act as an awareness agent and intervene when needed to promote a safe work environment.
- Produce OHS statistical reports and analyze risks to recommend prevention programs.
- Participate in health and safety committee meetings and contribute to the development of safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Occupational health and safety certificate or technique.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar position.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is essential.
- Ability to work in a context of continuous improvement and change.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Organizational skills, rigor, and autonomy.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements

- Ability to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel.
- Ability to sit, walk, or stand for up to 10 hours per day.

- Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to lift/carry items less than 40 pounds.
