Job Responsibilities

The Day-to-Day:

  • You'll lead by example as a hands-on Pastry Cook, ensuring the quality and consistency of all products served.
  • You strive for accuracy and consistency, ensuring that all desserts are prepared to the standards set by the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
  • You'll maintain accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry.
  • You're a stickler for detail, ensuring all menu items have their recipes recorded, costs tallied, and updated on an ongoing basis.
  • You value organization and procedures, easily identifying and correcting any issues that can impact the operation.
  • You adhere to health, safety, and cleanliness standards, correcting any deficiencies.
  • You'll professionally handle all special requests and guest allergies to ensure guest health and satisfaction.
  • Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity.
  • Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation.
  • Proven ability to work well with a team and as an individual.
  • Culinary degree/diploma an asset.
