About the Role

The Building Maintenance Technician III is a key member of our facilities team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This includes performing routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, as well as troubleshooting and repairing equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on facility mechanical and electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
  • Comply with all internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection regulations
  • Monitor and maintain facility systems, including HVAC and BAS
  • Respond to service requests and perform work in accordance with established processes and practices
  • Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs and ensure that deficiencies are identified and escalated
  • Participate in facility-related projects and ensure that work is performed in compliance with corporate and legislated policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing
  • Experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on heating ventilation and air conditions systems, or pneumatic or hydraulic systems
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment
  • Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset
  • Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency
  • Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) & HVAC Systems
  • Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification
  • Mentoring skills required to support lower level technician's development
