Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Educated to Master's degree level or equivalent professional qualifications and/or substantial experience in a similar role.
  • Registered with a relevant professional body for clinical specialty.
  • Clinical Safety Officer (NHS) accredited.
  • Evidence of post-qualifying and continual professional development.
Experience
  • Significant experience as a practicing clinician.
  • Significant experience and understanding of the value of digital technology and information in improving quality of care, outcomes, and efficiency.
  • Experience of managing and leading across various care settings.
  • Strategic awareness of the challenges facing health and social care, particularly in Ambulance Services.
  • Knowledge of clinical workflow across the health and social care ecosystem.
  • Significant experience of working across the health economy or with multiple organizations/boundaries.
  • Demonstrable current leadership and management experience at the same or similar level.
  • Experience in leading clinical informatic teams.
  • Practical experience with patient information systems in a clinical setting.
  • Appreciation of key relationships for NWAS within the region and nationally, including those beyond the health and social care ecosystem.
  • Experience in working with Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) and regional clinical and digital leaders.
  • Significant experience of managing and delivering successful change to critical digital systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements around Information Governance and Clinical Records.
