Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Informatics Director to join our team at North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust. As a key member of our Digital Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for providing senior clinical leadership and digital clinical expertise to support the delivery of our digital roadmap and overall strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical informatics, with experience in developing and implementing strategies to enhance the provision of clinical processes and improve quality and safety. You will also have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the health and social care ecosystem.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategy for the use of technology to enhance clinical processes and improve quality and safety.
  • Provide clinical safety assurance for the design, testing, implementation, use, and optimization of technology solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to a robust governance framework for all clinical systems.
  • Lead the clinical informatics team and provide strategic direction and management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders within the NHS and beyond.
