About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at the Nutrition Centre. As a Medical Assistant - Herbal Medicine Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Support
    • Assist healthcare professionals with administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records and processing paperwork.
    • Manage inventory of medications and pharmaceutical products, ensuring timely restocking and organization.
  • Clinical Support
    • Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
    • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and providing emotional support.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Clean and maintain equipment, including surgical instruments and medical devices, to ensure optimal functionality and hygiene.
    • Set up and dismantle equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing downtime.
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain accurate inventory of equipment, supplies, and medications, ensuring timely restocking and organization.
    • Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions.
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other staff members, ensuring clear understanding and timely resolution of issues.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • Will train
  • Language
    • Fluent in English
  • Work Schedule
    • 35 hours per week
