About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Assistant to join our team at Home Instead Senior Care - Toronto Central. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to our clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Light Housekeeping: Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and cleaning.
  • Meal Preparation: Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring our clients receive the nutrition they need.
  • Medication Reminders: Assist with medication reminders and other tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Availability: Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
