Job Description

Heritage Park Children's Programs is seeking an exceptional Child Development Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This role requires a strong understanding of child development principles and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Maintain daycare equipment and supplies
  • Lead activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, teaching songs, and taking children on outings
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and any concerns
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers to ensure seamless care and support for children
Requirements
  • Child Development Worker (ECE Level 2) certification
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and community service providers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
