Commercial Banking Credit Analyst Internship

Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Commercial Banking Credit Analyst Intern. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial information, tax returns, and credit bureau reports to support lending decisions and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate decision-making and analysis of credit information to support lending decisions and processes.
- Maintain and promote a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations.
- Develop credit information to make lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.
- Assist in negotiations of terms and conditions of all decisions made via phone and e-mail interaction with clients.
- Prepare summary, present facts, and offer opinions concerning credit worthiness.
- Minimize BMO's risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures with respect to lending decisions.
- Provide input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Typically between 2 – 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Specialized knowledge.
- Verbal and written communication skills – Good.
- Organization skills – Good.
- Collaboration and team skills – Good.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills – Good.

BMO offers a competitive salary range of $35,700.00 - $66,100.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
