Salary


The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $30.96/Hr., with comprehensive benefits and pension plan provided.



Job Description


This clinical support role works under the direction of the designated occupational therapist and physiotherapist to carry out established rehabilitative activities in both occupational therapy (OT) and physiotherapy (PT) scope of practices.



  • Supports the team with duties such as receiving assignments and implementing lower risk interventions related to the clinical aspects of OT/PT care plans.
  • Demonstrates and teaches activities, adapts devices to enable patients/clients/residents to maximize their potential for independence.
  • Provides functional direction to patient/client/resident and family, assists with practicing daily living skills.
  • Reports relevant observations of patient/client/resident progress and behaviours.
  • Provides direction to volunteers, organizes and cleans equipment and supplies for activities, and maintains the established inventory of supplies.


Required Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
