About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Development Manager for our Tim Hortons Food portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all stages of new product development from concept stage to market-ready.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of end-to-end commercialization of new product innovations and initiatives across new platform development, LTO promotion, quality and cost improvements.
- Leadership of development, testing, and evaluation of new ingredients.
- Creation of ingredient product specifications in the internal system.
- Conducting external consumer sensory research and providing recommendations to leadership.
- Cross-functional team collaboration to transition projects from start to launch by meeting key timelines.
- Attendance at plant trials and support for product launches.
- Closely working with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality, compliance with Canadian regulations and specifications.
- Attendance at existing and new ingredient evaluations at test laboratory to ensure all ingredient parameters meet specifications.
- Closely working with the Procurement team to ensure ingredient pricing meets set targets.
- Management and leadership of a team of two.
Requirements
- +5 years of experience in Product Development, Food Science BSc or MSc.
- Product Development experience working in food production/manufacturing – ideally with QSR experience.
- Sensory evaluation skills.
- Passion for food and innovation.
- Results-driven, self-motivated individual passionate about championing new ideas and improving current process.
- Good knowledge of plant processes, equipment, ingredient functionality, and food regulations.
- Ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
