Store Operations Manager

Petro Canada is seeking a highly skilled Store Manager to lead our retail store team. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for directing and controlling daily store operations, planning and organizing daily activities, managing staff, and assigning duties. You will also be responsible for studying market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and Control Daily Operations: Ensure the smooth operation of the store, including managing staff, inventory, and customer service.
- Plan and Organize Daily Activities: Develop and implement plans to achieve sales goals, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and safe store environment.
- Manage Staff and Assign Duties: Supervise and train staff, assign duties, and ensure that all staff members are meeting their performance expectations.
- Study Market Research and Trends: Analyze market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales.
- Determine Merchandise and Services: Decide on the types of merchandise and services to be sold in the store.
- Implement Price and Credits Policies: Develop and implement price and credits policies to ensure that customers are satisfied with their purchases.
- Locate, Select, and Procure Merchandise: Find, select, and purchase merchandise for resale in the store.
- Develop and Implement Marketing Strategies: Create and implement marketing strategies to attract customers and increase sales.
- Determine Staffing Requirements: Determine the number of staff members needed to operate the store efficiently.
- Recruit, Hire, and Supervise Staff: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff members to ensure that the store is operating efficiently.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Work Under Pressure: Work under pressure to meet sales goals and maintain a clean and safe store environment.
- Tight Deadlines: Meet tight deadlines to ensure that the store is operating efficiently.
- Handling Heavy Loads: Handle heavy loads, including merchandise and equipment.

- Participates in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees.
- Assists with Immediate Settlement Needs: Assist with immediate settlement needs, including housing, transportation, and childcare, for newcomers and refugees.
- Supports Social and Labour Market Integration: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees, including facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Recruits Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster, including those from Ukraine and Afghanistan.
- Participates in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support youth employment.
- Offers On-the-Job Training: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth to help them develop skills and gain work experience.
- Offers Mentorship, Coaching, and Networking Opportunities: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth to help them develop their skills and gain work experience.
- Participates in Government or Community Programs: Participate in government or community programs that support Veterans.
