Job Title: Financial Functional Advisor

Join National Bank of Canada (NBC) as a Financial Functional Advisor and contribute to the evolution of our finance and accounting systems. As a key member of our Finance Evolution department, you will work closely with our team to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring the efficient execution of activities and the optimization of existing business processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the planning and execution of supplier onboarding projects, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
  • Implement automated value-added purchasing processes for our Bank's sectors, streamlining procurement and reducing costs.
  • Provide operational and informational support to business partners, ensuring the procure-to-pay system runs smoothly.
  • Optimize SAP and procure-to-pay system access management, ensuring secure and efficient access for authorized personnel.
  • Communicate results, issues, and risks related to assigned responsibilities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Contribute to the preparation of process documentation and functional configuration, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in Agile mode, leveraging collective expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Industry-related bachelor's degree and relevant experience in purchasing or accounts payable management.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and accounts payable principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, focus on results, and popularize complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning the Safe Scrum model.
Language:
  • Fluency in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with service providers and partners.
