About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at A2Z cash 'n' Carry. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the financial records and accounts of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Prepare and reconcile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, including deductions for taxes, benefits, and other allowances.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including statistical, financial, and accounting reports, to support business decision-making.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST/HST and other tax-related documents.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and proficiency in accounting software and systems.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Our office is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires sitting for long periods, with occasional standing and walking.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime required.
