Carpentry Specialist

About the Role:

GRD Contracting Ltd is seeking a skilled carpentry specialist to join our team. As a carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for various carpentry projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Schedule and coordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion of projects
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour
