Marketing Director Job Description

Sun Peaks Resort is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Marketing Director to lead the development and implementation of all marketing strategies and tactics within the organization. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the marketing direction for Sun Peaks Resort and the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel, ensuring seamless integration between marketing and communications campaigns and tactics to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and plans to drive revenue growth and brand awareness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns across various platforms, including digital and traditional media.
  • Manage and optimize key metrics and analytics to inform data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all channels.
  • Oversee database and email marketing strategy and execution, as well as content development and e-commerce initiatives.
  • Lead the creative direction and brand development functions, ensuring alignment with Sun Peaks Resort's brand identity.
  • Manage and develop the marketing services function throughout the organization, including vendor and third-party relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and adapt strategies as necessary to ensure Sun Peaks Resort remains competitive in the market.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in marketing, including at least 5 years in a leadership position with strategic oversight.
  • Proven management skills, with a strong business acumen and ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Skilled relationship manager with the ability to build collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented, with a keen focus on metrics, analytics, and performance reporting.
  • Highly proficient in computer skills, including web & social analytics, Google Adwords, and Adobe Creative Suite.
