Job Summary

: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join our team at the York Region District School Board. The successful candidate will have a doctoral degree in School/Educational and/or Clinical Psychology or a Master's degree in School/Educational and/or Counseling Psychology.

Key Responsibilities

:
  • Conduct assessments and develop interventions to support students with diverse needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Provide consultation and support to teachers and staff on issues related to student learning and behavior
  • Develop and implement programs to promote student well-being and social-emotional learning
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in school psychology and apply this knowledge to inform practice

Requirements

:
  • Doctoral degree in School/Educational and/or Clinical Psychology or Master's degree in School/Educational and/or Counseling Psychology
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and backgrounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
