Job Title: Registered Nurse
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Crisis and Critical Care (CCC) program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. As a member of our inter-professional team, you will provide holistic client-centered psychiatric nursing care to clients experiencing the acute phase of a mental and/or addictions disorder.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to clients who are 18+ experiencing the acute phase of a mental and/or addictions disorder
- Contribute to program development and participate in reflective practice sessions
- Facilitate group programming on the unit and provide mentorship and supervision to students
- Participate in research activities for the program
Requirements:
- Be registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate is required
- Preference will be given to candidates who possess, or are currently pursuing a BSCN and/or CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing
- Psychiatric nursing experience with individuals with mental illness and/or addictions is an asset
- Effective leadership, decision-making, organizational and problem solving skills are required
- Computer literacy is required
- Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset
Working Conditions:
This position requires 12-hour day, evening, night and weekend rotations. This position is located at the Queen Street Site.
