Job Summary:

The Healthcare Support Worker will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist patients with daily activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including their living spaces and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Or equivalent experience
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Vulnerable sector check
Work Environment:
