About the Opportunity

SE Health is a leading provider of healthcare services in Canada, and we are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist with SE Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our clients and supporting their independence and well-being.

About the Job

The successful candidate will have recent experience in managing patients in acute or long-term care rehabilitation programs. A master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required, as well as active registration and practice permit from the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a high level of initiative and adaptability to rapidly changing demands.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and formulate goals and recommendations for patient treatment
  • Plan and implement patient-centered, goal-directed treatment programs using therapy assistants
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to provide care within AHS care guidelines

Requirements

  • Recent experience in managing patients in acute or long-term care rehabilitation programs
  • Completion of master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Active registration and practice permit from the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT)
  • Reliable, flexible, creative, self-directed professional able to work effectively and collaboratively with rehab assistants and a high-performance interdisciplinary rehabilitation team
  • Sound knowledge of community resources is an asset
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to new computer applications
  • BCLS and CPR certificate
