Your Role

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at KORT Payments, you will work in an agile scrum environment, leading the effort to define test requirements, processes, and tools to ensure software quality.

You will contribute to the development team with introductory software development over time, typical of a junior engineer role.

  • Sprint cycle testing of all code base changes to ensure product enhancements and bug fixes are reliable and fully functional before release.
  • Evaluate product and process quality to ensure they meet requirements, align with business goals, and comply with regulations.
  • Design and implement automated testing solutions and perform manual tests where applicable.
  • Create and execute software test plans, analyze results, and recommend corrective actions guidelines.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of test outcomes, compliance, and quality control, communicating results to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to improve processes, manage problem logs, and resolve identified issues.
  • Actively participate in scrum meetings to provide constructive feedback and continuously improve the development and testing process.
  • Contribute to sprints and scrum teams with introductory software development, typical of a junior engineer role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer or QA Analyst.
  • Proven knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience working with multiple programming languages, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Nginx, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Python, Django, Tornado, Celery, Swagger, Linux (Ubuntu), Windows, MFC, ATL, C++, C#.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to questioning the status quo.
  • Strong detail orientation and ability to multitask.
  • Experience working in fast-paced and rapidly changing start-up environments.
  • A great attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; French is an asset.
