Security Services Director

Job Summary

PALADIN SECURITY is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Services Director to oversee the day-to-day operational contracted security services at a high-profile site. This position will work closely with the airport security program managers to achieve the objectives of the airport security program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with security personnel, airport partners, and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the performance of security services and ensure compliance with civil aviation legislation and regulations.
  • Manage and maintain a knowledge base of security information reporting systems, access control systems, and key management systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee security programs, including supply chain management, stock control, prohibited items, and iWATCH.
  • Manage and oversee security services personnel, including coaching and corrective action recommendations.
  • Attend meetings and working groups to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the Aviation Security Training Manager to develop training modules and create post orders, event management, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

  • Security-related experience as a security supervisor or security manager with knowledge of electronic security systems.
  • Aviation security experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Must be able to successfully pass required internal training programs, including the HIAA AVSEC Course and other courses required by the contract.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Security Clearance and Transport Canada Secret Clearance.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills, including excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • Minimum of intermediate-level competency with Windows-based computer systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or related field) and First Aid/CPR certification.
